According to Thomas Aquinas in ST III, Q82 A9, Communion with priests who formally or materially subscribe to heresy (Novus Ordo, FSSP, see /fssp) or with sinfully silent priests (modern FSSPX, which is intentionally silent on the heresies of Vatican II, see /fsspx) is „valid‟ but not licit. It is the duty of every Catholic to actively oppose heresy. Intentional silence implies consent.
Therefore, the only logical option is to receive grace spiritually, through which, according to ST III, Q80, A1, exactly the same graces are received as in the physical sacrament (given that physical communion would not be possible without committing a sin).
The normal and best option is physical Communion, but God is not bound to the physical sacrament. Thus, no „fewer graces‟ are dispensed than in the physical sacrament, which is why, in case of doubt, it is safer to pray this sanctification at home than to attend Mass with a doubtfully consecrated (see: /episcopal), materially heretical, or intentionally silent priest. According to Catholic theology, every sacrament necessary for salvation can also be received by desire (Baptism and Communion).
To pray this sanctification, you normally need a rosary and an image of Jesus (crucifix, etc.). In an absolute emergency, these can also be omitted.
Please prepare well for spiritual communion on Sunday:
- Examination of conscience and Act of Contrition
- Reconciliation of all disputes
- 3-hour fast
- Good Sunday clothes
- Appropriate external posture (kneeling / sitting), if possible
In short: This „Sanctification of Sunday‟ is a substitute for physical communion in emergencies, so please behave as if you were worthily receiving physical communion in the church. You can pray this sanctification every day if you wish.
Alternatively, you can also pray the Mass yourself, although this is more involved. If the readings are not listed here, you can also look them up on divinumofficium.
Sign of the Cross
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Prayer for the Offering of the Rosary
I unite myself with all the saints in heaven, with all the just on earth, and with all the faithful souls here present.
I unite myself with You, my Jesus, to praise Your most holy Mother worthily and to praise You in her and through her.
I renounce all the distractions that may come to me during this Rosary, which I intend to pray with modesty, attention, and devotion, as if it were the last of my life.
We offer to You, Most Holy Trinity, this Creed, in honor of all the mysteries of our faith; this Our Father and these three Hail Marys, to adore the unity of Your essence and the Trinity of Your Persons.
We ask You for a lively faith, a firm hope, and an ardent charity. Amen.
The Creed
Holding the crucifix of the Rosary:
I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord…
Our Father
On the first large bead after the crucifix:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Hail Mary (3x)
On the first small bead after:
Let us praise Mary, the beloved daughter of the eternal Father.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.
On the next small bead:
Let us praise Mary, the wonderful Mother of the Son of God.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.
On the next small bead:
Let us praise Mary, the most faithful spouse of the Holy Spirit.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.
Glory Be
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Salve Regina (Hail, Holy Queen)
We thank You, sublime Queen, for countless graces and for the benefits we receive daily from Your benevolent hands.
Please take us now and forever under Your powerful protection. And to oblige You even more, we greet You with the Salve Regina:
Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us. And after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary!
[V]: Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God.
[R]: That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
St. Michael the Archangel
Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.

Spiritual Communion
Kneeling, strike your breast three times at „mea culpa‟:
Confiteor Deo omnipotenti, beatae Mariae semper Virgini, beato Michaeli Archangelo, beato Joanni Baptistae, sanctis Apostolis Petro et Paulo, omnibus Sanctis, et tibi, pater, quia peccavi nimis cogitatione, verbo et opere:
mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa.
Ideo precor beatam Mariam semper Virginem, beatum Michaelem Archangelum, beatum Joannem Baptistam, sanctos Apostolos Petrum et Paulum, omnes Sanctos, et vos, fratres, orare pro me ad Dominum Deum nostrum. Amen.
In absolute silence:
My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar.
I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You.
O Jesus, highest good, touch my heart and inflame it with Your divine love, that it may burn forever in it.
Amen.
5 Minute Pause and Meditation
Silently meditate on the Crucifixion
Anima Christi
Soul of Christ, sanctify me!
Body of Christ, save me!
Blood of Christ, inebriate me!
Water from the side of Christ, wash me!
Passion of Christ, strengthen me!
O good Jesus, hear me!
Within Thy wounds hide me!
Suffer me not to be separated from Thee!
From the malicious enemy defend me!
In the hour of my death call me!
And bid me come unto Thee,
That with Thy Saints I may praise Thee,
Forever and ever.
Amen.
Fatima Prayer
O Jesus, this is for love of You, for the conversion of sinners, in reparation for the sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and for the Holy Father, the Pope.
My God, I believe, I adore, I hope and I love You.
I ask pardon for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not hope and do not love You.
Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, I adore You profoundly, and I offer You the most precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in all the tabernacles of the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and indifference with which He Himself is offended.
And through the infinite merits of His Most Sacred Heart and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg of You the conversion of poor sinners.
Prayer Before the Image of Jesus Crucified
Behold, O good and most sweet Jesus, I cast myself upon my knees in Thy sight, and with the most fervent desire of my soul, I pray and beseech Thee that Thou wouldst impress upon my heart lively sentiments of faith, hope, and charity, with true repentance for my sins and a firm purpose of amendment, while with deep affection and grief of soul I ponder within myself and mentally contemplate Thy five wounds, having before my eyes the words which David the prophet spoke concerning Thee, O good Jesus:
“They have pierced my hands and my feet, they have numbered all my bones.”
Conclusion
[V]: May the Lord bless us +, protect us from all evil, and bring us to everlasting life.
[R]: And may the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
